By August 8th the tournament was down to nine final players. Two days later Jamie Gold became world champion and went home with $12 million. Second place prize was $6.1 million. The winning hand was a queen of spades and a nine of clubs. The buy in was $10,000.

The 2014 Big One for One Drop had a total prize pool of $37.3 million. Dan Coleman won against 42 other opponents and secured a first place prize of $15.3 million. Second place went to Daniel Negreanu who won $8.29 million.

2018 Big One for One Drop
With a first place prize of $10 million, this tournament was won by Justin Bonomo. He beat Fedor Holz earning him the grand prize and his second bracelet of the series.
After this win Justin Bonomo found himself at the top of the All Time Money List with almost $43 million in live earnings. This was a three day event lasting from July 15th – July 17th. The buy-in was $1,000,000 and there were 27 participants. The winning hand was an ace of spades and a jack of diamonds.
2012 Big One for One Drop
The Big One for One Drop event at The World Series of Poker boasted a huge $42.67 million prize pool. Antonio Esfandiari won first place taking home almost $18.35 million, which is the highest single poker tournament payout of all time.
This event was the first Big One for One Drop at the World Series of Poker. It was a three day event lasting from July 1st – July 3rd. The buy-in was $1,000,000 and there were 48 participants. The winning hand was a seven of diamonds and a five of spades.
